BiogasWorld Showcase Report 2021: Assoro and Revere Energia

BiogasWorld highlights Assoro Biometano and Revere Energia realised by IES Biogas as biomethane successful projects in their latest Showcase Report.

Installed and commissioned by IES in 2020, the Assoro Biomethane plant in Sicily produces 4.4 million SSm³ per year of advanced biomethane from 74,500 tonnes per year of livestock manure and agricultural by-products.

It represents one of the first Italian projects for the production and distribution of biomethane for automotive use in the agricultural and agro-industrial sector, a virtuous example of circular economy that gives Sicily a key role in the energy transition.

Revere Energia is an innovative 390 Sm3/h biomethane plant. 36.000 tons per year of organic waste (OFMSW) from the door-to-door separate collection throughout the province of Mantua will annually produce over 3,3 million Sm³ of advanced biomethane which will be injected directly into Snam national natural gas grid.

The 2021 edition of the Report is a review of the successful stories of BiogasWorld members developing innovative technologies for the biogas and biomethane sector. It contains more than 70 project profiles in North America, Europe, South America and Asia, systems and solutions for biogas and biomethane upgrading, information on plant developers and service providers.
