Snam acquired 100% of IES Biogas

Snam, through its subsidiary Snam4Environment, today acquired 100% of IES Biogas, over which it already held 70% of shares. The acquisition is in line with the strategic repositioning of IES in accordance with the Group’s objectives and prospects for the development of agricultural biomethane, one of the key drivers for decarbonisation. IES will continue its path started in 2008 facing the challenges of the energy transition with even more determination.
Matteo Grandi, Head of Biomethane Agri & Agri-Industrial Business at Snam4Environment, will assume the role of Managing Director of the company. By his side, Marco Mazzero will assume the role of Board Member and will be in charge of coordinating the commercial development activities of IES Biogas.
