Seal Awards: Snam among the world’s 50 most sustainable companies
Snam is among the 50 most sustainable companies in the world according to the SEAL (Sustainability, Environmental Achievement & Leadership) Business Sustainability Awards 2020.
The company was awarded in the SEAL Organizational Impact Award category, which aggregates two global sustainability assessments: the A-List of CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) and the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA, now included in S&P Global ESG). This year, in particular, Snam was included in CDP’s “A” list of companies most committed to the fight against climate change.
The SEAL Awards include the companies most transparent and committed to sustainable practices globally.
The result recognizes Snam’s commitment to ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) dimensions, which are key to the companies’ 2020-2024 strategic plan. In particular, Snam expects to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040, among the first companies in the energy sector. Moreover, it has developed and published an ESG scorecard focusing on 13 areas with 22 material and quantitative objectives by 2023 to report on its performance for the benefit of stakeholders.
