BioGNL. Inauguration of the innovative Bio Industria plant
On June 17th was inaugurated Bio Industria, the first bioLNG plant of Lazzari&Lucchini realized by IES Biogas in Verolanuova (BS): 5 tons per day, about 1.800 tons per year, of liquid biomethane for heavy transport. At full capacity, the site will treat about 47,000 tons per year of livestock manure (mainly poultry and cattle manure) and agricultural biomass (triticale and sorghum), working 24/7.
An example of an innovative and made in Italy circular economy, where the by-products of the agro-livestock chain are transformed into liquefied biomethane or bioLNG, which contributes to sustainable mobility and the reduction of emissions compared to fossil fuels. Another benefit offered by bioLNG, is the possibility of being moved using existing infrastructure without the need for further investment or intervention.
In addition to the production of liquid biomethane, there is an effective treatment for the reduction of nitrogen in the liquid fraction of digestate and the production of organic fertilizer for organic farming.
